We will be in Hebron, Connecticut at Camp Hemlocks, an accessible facility located on 100 acres of unspoiled woodlands surrounding Jones Pond. A convenient, one-story building, contains our sleeping quarters and all the facilities we need – dining room, auditorium, lounges, pool and mushroom display room. Foraging on the campus and in nearby state parks is reliably outstanding. We usually harvest over 300 species, and baskets of choice edibles. Enjoy our outdoor mycophagy, prepared by Kathy and Joe Brandt & Julie O’Grady. Gary Lincoff, author of the Audubon Guide to North American Mushrooms, will be our Chief Mycologist. Walk and learn with Gary, Bill Yule, John Plischke, Roz Lowen and Leon Shernoff, editor of Mushroom the Journal.
The 4-day fee includes 3 nights’ lodging and 8 meals, from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Monday. (Bring your lunch on your day of arrival.) All rooms will be double-occupancy. If you do not have a roommate chosen, we will select one for you. Bedding is not provided. Bring your own sheets, towels and pillows.
